Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Peaches with Riverbench Cork Jumper Demi-Sec

If you taste the Demi-Sec right out of the fridge, you’ll swear it’s dry as a bone. But as it warms slowly in the glass, the tiny amount of residual sugar manifests itself and the wine tastes brightly fruity and rich. Tart and sweet grilled peaches with melting vanilla ice cream are the quintessential summer dessert and a perfect complement to this wine.

• 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
• 2 tbsp. brown sugar
• 2 tbsp. melted butter
• ½ tsp. cinnamon
• 1 quart vanilla ice cream

Heat your grill and let the flames burn down to medium heat.

Mix the brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon together. Brush over the peaches, and place them face down on the grill. Grill for about 4 minutes, or until slightly charred. The natural sugars and brown sugar will caramelize nicely. Serve with vanilla ice cream on top.
