Our local bakery, Bob’s Well Bread, makes the best croissants. This dish puts a decadent spin on bread pudding for a fun and inventive dessert.
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups 2% milk
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 4 large croissants
• 1/4 sliced almonds
• whipped cream for garnish
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cut croissants into chucks. In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, and salt. Toss egg mixture with croissants until all pieces are moist. Let sit about 10 minutes. Pour into a buttered baking dish and top with almonds.
Bake 45 minutes until done. Cool slightly, then serve with a dollop of whipped cream and a glass of our Cork Jumper Demi Sec sparkling wine.
